The 2017 Branham300 to reveal top tech performers on May 31st

Branham Group’s 24th annual ranking will deliver big news for the Canadian tech industry

Ottawa — May 16, 2017 — On Wednesday, May 31st, 2017, Branham Group will deliver its annual ranking of Canada’s top public and private Information and Communications Technology (ICT) companies.

The Canadian companies on the Top 250 list have delivered revenue growth every year since 2011 and, according to Wayne Gudbranson, Branham Group CEO, 2016 was another excellent year for the industry.

“We can’t reveal the numbers yet, of course,” Gudbranson said, “but it is fair to say that the technology sector has again shown itself to be a driver of Canada’s economy and the most vibrant sector in the nation.

“Industry watchers will be impressed with this year’s results, and once again we are pleased to provide this valuable resource on Canada’s tech sector.”

The Branham300 is the best-known and most widely referenced listing of Canada’s top public and private ICT companies, ranked by revenue. The listing also tracks the top ICT multinationals operating in Canada, plus Up and Comers, those young Canadian companies Branham Group thinks will be big hits soon.

In addition to the economic advantages a strong ICT sector delivers, the companies included in the Branham300 are critical for Canada’s cybersecurity and future standing on the world stage.

“Only a few days ago, the world was hit by the largest ransomware attack in Internet history,” said Peter Wolchak, Director of the Branham300. “Canadian companies and researchers are particularly strong in the area of cybersecurity, and Branham Group believes that this sub-sector will deliver huge security and economic advantages to Canada in the near future. Similarly, we see great potential for Canadian innovation in the areas of FinTech, blockchain, Internet of Things and Smart Cities.”

The Branham300 ranking of Canadian technology companies and multinationals operating in Canada will be posted at www.branham300.com on May 31st, 2017. Follow the hashtag #2017Branham300 for social media updates.
